Welcome to Riverside Academy!

Home of the Rebels

principal Mike CoburnWe are proud of our dedicated and experienced educators that work very hard daily to meet the individual needs of all students, Pre-K2 through 12th grade. Our teachers know students by name, and know who they are, not only as students, but as individuals. We seek to understand, support and challenge everyone here at Riverside Academy. Teachers that care about their subject matter are not uncommon; however, teachers who are willing to spend time before, during, and after the school day with students to insure that our children reach their full potential, teachers like this are the exception, and these are the teachers that make up Riverside.

Riverside Academy is a special place, not only because our families and community are exceptional, but because our administration, teachers, coaches, and support staff are committed to building lifelong skills in ways that are useful for students and parents alike. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower each student with the skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible people; we are here to help the WHOLE CHILD.

We truly believe that communication is the key to a positive educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our Riverside community and provide the best for our students through partnership amongst the school, students, parents/guardians, and the community. All students are more successful when we work as a team to achieve our goals.

With this in mind, YOU are invited to be an active participant in our Riverside Academy community. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the Quarterback Club, a member of our set-up/breakdown crew for our many events, a member of the Mothers Club, a member of the Band Boosters, a part in the Grandparents League or an affiliate of our countless extracurricular activities, you are encouraged to stay involved! Parents/Guardians that participate in their child’s school coincide with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.

Please use our website as a resource for updated information and news happening in our school. My hopes are for you to get a snapshot of your child’s school experience through our updated webpage. Please stay tuned, as those changes are happening daily.

I assure you there is no place I would rather be; the culture of Riverside Academy is truly unique and special. Thank you for this tremendous opportunity, it is a privilege to serve Riverside Academy and its exceptional community.

WE ARE RIVERSIDE, WE ARE ONE!

God Bless You,

Michael K. Coburn
