The 2016 season saw the Lady Rebel Volleyball team set a new program standard for wins in a season, finishing 39-6 overall. The season included an undefeated District Championship and a second consecutive appearance in the LHSAA Division IV State Quarterfinals. Our student-athletes garnered numerous individual awards with 5 All-District performers, 4 Lobservator All-St. John Parish 1st Teamers, 1 All-Metro Honoree, and 1 earning All-State. The Lady Rebels were also impressive in the classroom during the season, with a program average 3.84 GPA.
Looking towards the 2017 season, all but two varsity players return. Sydney Joseph, the reigning District and Parish MVP, will continue to be an offensive staple. Joseph is joined by fellow seniors and 2016 1st Team picks Briley Becker and Abby Bourgeois who will be 5th and 4th year varsity letter winners respectively. Haley Madere is the heir apparent to the libero jersey and second year volleyball converts Jennifer LeGeaux and Dannecia Nora round out the senior class. A trio of juniors will also be counted on heavily, Kate St. Pierre, Carli Hymel, and Allie Jacob. The lone sophomore returning is Alexus Johnson. With a large number of returning players, expectations are high for a reappearance at the Pontchartrain Center.
