The 2016 season saw the Lady Rebel Volleyball team set a new program standard for wins in a season, finishing 39-6 overall. The season included an undefeated District Championship and a second consecutive appearance in the LHSAA Division IV State Quarterfinals. Our student-athletes garnered numerous individual awards with 5 All-District performers, 4 Lobservator All-St. John Parish 1st Teamers, 1 All-Metro Honoree, and 1 earning All-State. The Lady Rebels were also impressive in the classroom during the season, with a program average 3.84 GPA.
During the 2017 season, all but two varsity players returned. Sydney Joseph, the reigning District and Parish MVP, continued to be an offensive staple. Joseph was joined by fellow seniors and 2016 1st Team picks Briley Becker and Abby Bourgeois who were 5th and 4th year varsity letter winners respectively. Haley Madere was the heir apparent to the libero jersey and second year volleyball converts Jennifer LeGeaux and Dannecia Nora rounded out the senior class. A trio of juniors were also counted on heavily, Kate St. Pierre, Carli Hymel, and Allie Jacob. The lone sophomore who returned was Alexus Johnson. With a large number of returning players, expectations are high for a reappearance at the Pontchartrain Center.
Both the 2018 and 2019 seasons began with 3 returning seniors and a majority of fresh, young talent. Volleyball at Riverside Academy has a strong tradition of success. We are looking forward to the continued growth of the program with hopes to clinch District and return to the Pontchartrain Center before too long.

The Lady Rebels JV volleyball program provides our girls an opportunity to polish up their game before playing on the varsity level. The varsity coaches oversee this program and use it to assess when a player is ready for varsity.
Riverside offers as many middle school sports as possible and volleyball is no exception. This is where the foundation is made for our future Lady Rebel volleyball players. The focus is on fundamentals at this level. We do play a full schedule and participate in a number of tournaments.
